(L.A.) Sebastian Arredondo, 20, Died in Mission Hills

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle by the 5 Freeway.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Sebastian Arredondo.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Inhalation of Products of Combustion and Thermal Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent was driving a black Honda Accord on the transition road from the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway to the southbound Hollywood (170) Freeway when at around 3:17 a.m., the vehicle hit the center divider and crossed all lanes to the right shoulder, ending up slammed into a tree and going up in flames.

LAFD was able to extract the body only at 7:00 a.m. and it wasn’t until 8:11 a.m. was the SigAlert cancelled.
