(L.A.) Carlos Martinez Sanchez, 22, Died on the 10 Fwy

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 22-year-old Latino male that occurred on the San Bernardino Freeway in West Covina.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Carlos Martinez Sanchez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Ethanol (Alcohol) and Cocaine Intoxication

Other Significant Conditions: Suspected Blunt-Force Injuries and Postmortem Thermal Changes

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

California Highway Patrol responded at around 3:47 a.m. to the eastbound freeway and the Pacific Avenue off-ramp, where the officers found a red vehicle engulfed in flames.
