Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Latino male that occurred on a freeway.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Emmanuel Crisanto Mercado.

California Highway Patrol learned at 12:18 a.m. of a motorcycle operator being down in the lanes, blocking the transition road. The incident is considered a solo-vehicle traffic collision.

The Judge Harry Pregerson Interchange connects Interstate 110 North with Interstate 105 East. It is located near the Athens and Watts communities, south of Willowbrook.
