Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Latino male that occurred at a private residence driveway.
The coroner’s office identified the young man as Andrew Gonzalez of Altadena.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Trauma
RIP ANDREW GONZALEZ ( September 19, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.
The decedent was driving a vehicle when it crashed into the garage of a private residence in the 300 block of Orange Grove Avenue at around 5:00 a.m.
South Pasadena PD had been in pursuit of the vehicle supposedly up until a mile of the crash site. “It was not an active pursuit that lead to the fatal collision.”
A hunter is chasing a deer through the woods. The hunter then stops running and calls off the chase, but the deer, now terrified and disoriented, continues to flee at top speed. A mile away, it runs blindly onto a highway and causes a fatal multi-car collision. “I wasn’t chasing the deer when it ran onto the highway.”
