(L.A.) JeanPaul Leus, 23, Died at an Embankment

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old Asian male that occurred at an embankment.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jean Paul Leus.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP JEAN PAUL LEUS (October 20, 2001 – August 22, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 30, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

* Note that the government investigator had initially given the decedent’s age as 40.
