(L.A.) Vicente Chavez Fajardo, 27, Died in Westlake

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 27-year-old Latino male that occurred in MacArthur Park.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Vicente Chavez Fajardo.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Ethanol Toxicity

RIP VICENTE ARMANDO CHAVEZ FAJARDO (July 29, 1998 – August 16, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent was found lifeless on the eastern side of the park, by Wilshire & Alvarado. His body was found alongside another deceased individual, Byron Top Puluc.

The decedent’s body was repatriated to Guatemala on September 12. He is from Olintepeque, a town in the Quetzaltenango department of the Central American country.

He is survived by his family in their hometown and his two children with his common-law wife in L.A.
