RIP ROBERTO BARRAZA MERCADO (1988 – August 30, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent was a motorcyclist who died in a two-vehicle crash at around 9:00 p.m.

Long Beach PD said the incident happened at 11th Street and Redondo Avenue.

The 2010 KTM motorcycle was going southbound on Redondo when it collided with a 2006 Toyota Sequoia that was going eastbound on 11th Street.

SUV driver Frank Andrade Jr. remained at the scene and cooperated with police, thus avoiding being charged with a hit-and-run. He was, however, arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence. Bail for the 33-year-old Long Beach resident was set at $101,781.
