(L.A.) Sheylla Gutierrez Rosillo, 33, Died From Stab Wounds

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Hispanic female.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Sheylla Gutierrez Rosillo of Lancaster.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Stab Wounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent was reported missing on August 12 and is assumed to have been stabbed to death by her husband at their apartment. He then transported her body to the Angeles National Forest where he dumped it on the side of a mountain. It was found on August 16.

Jossimar Cabrera Cornejo, 36, has since fled to Peru. Authorities in L.A. County have charged him with murder and issued an extradition warrant. They estimate she was actually killed on August 10, Sunday.

They have three young sons.

The Department of Medical Examiner made public its findings on August 22. The government investigator had initially given the decedent’s full name as Sheylla Cabrera.
