Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Latino male that occurred in the yard of a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Sergio Nunez Gonzalez.

Cause of Death: Traumatic Asphyxia

A construction worker was fatally injured when a retaining wall collapsed at a job site in Sierra Madre on the afternoon of Friday, August 15. The incident happened at around 1:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Sierra Meadow Drive.

Sierra Madre is a smal city in Los Angeles County, located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley just below the southern edge of the Angeles National Forest. It is situated east of Pasadena and Altadena, with Arcadia to the south and east.
