(L.A.) Eddie Salazar, 33, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Eddie Salazar. Born in L.A. County.

Height: 5 feet 11 inches / Weight: 180 pounds

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Acute Fentanyl Intoxication

Cause of Death B: Pulmonary Thromboembolism

Cause of Death C: Deep Venous Thrombosis of Bilateral Lower Extremities

Other Significant Conditions: Methamphetamine Exposure, Recent Cocaine Use, and Housing Instability

RIP EDDIE SALAZAR (January 5, 1992 – July 19, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 3, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
