RIP SERHAT BAYDAR (March 9, 1994 – July 14, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.
The decedent’s name is Turkish. He was still posting on Instagram at around midnight, about 16 hours before the local government authorities publicly announced his demise.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 4, after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. The decedent was obese, drunk, and high on drugs when he drowned.
Without the alcohol and drugs, it is highly unlikely he would have drowned, as these substances were the critical factors that caused and contributed to the fatal drowning event.
