(L.A.) William Mauricio, 42, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as William Mauricio.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death A: Sequelae of Esophageal Perforation

Cause of Death B: Ingestion of Foreign Object

RIP WILLIAM MAURICIO (October 2, 1982 – May 27, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 14.

The decedent swallowed something sharp, and it tore a hole inside his throat. He did it on purpose, with the intention of taking his own life.
