(L.A.) Jose Manuel Araya, 40, Died in a Garage

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Latino male that occurred in a garage in Inglewood.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jose Araya of Hawthorne.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Acute Cocaine Toxicity

Cause of Death B: Combined Effects of Ethanol and Fentanyl

Other Significant Conditions: Chronic Alcohol Abuse, Obesity (BMI 33.6), and a History of Drug-Related Arrests

RIP JOSE MANUEL ARAYA (December 19, 1984 – July 5, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent was found in the 200 block of West Manchester Boulevard.
