(L.A.) Arthur Dominguez, 17, Died on His Birthday

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 17-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the teen as Arthur Dominguez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Trauma

RIP ARTHUR DOMINGUEZ (July 3, 2008 – July 3, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The decedent was driving his gray 2015 Lexus IS 250 at a high rate of speed in the Number 2 lane of the westbound 10 Freeway, near the Interstate 605 interchange.

California Highway Patrol responded at around 10:50 p.m.

According to CHP, the vehicle had veered sharply to the right, causing the Lexus to strike the right shoulder wall.

It then traveled out of control in a southwesterly direction, swerved across all westbound lanes, and smashed into the concrete center divider.

The crash was so severe that all westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway had to be closed, and a SigAlert was issued at approximately 11:29 p.m.
