(L.A.) Paul Avila, 48, Died Off a Cliff

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Latino male that occurred off a cliff.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Paul Avila. Born in L.A. County.
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries
RIP PAUL CHRISTOPHER AVILA (November 5, 1976 – July 1, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.
The decedent was found inside a vehicle that had fallen to the bottom of a ravine on Highway 39, also known as Angeles Crest Highway, just north of Azusa proper. It was about 50 to 200 feet down.
LASD responded at around 9:30 p.m. and Los Angeles County Fire Department sent a helicopter to assist with the rescue operation.
