(L.A.) Alejandro González Magaña, 36, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Alejandro Gonzalez Magana.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Chest

RIP ALEJANDRO GONZALEZ MAGANA (August 15, 1988 – June 26, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The decedent was killed by an alleged carjacker in the Florence-Firestone neighborhood near South L.A.

LASD said the shooting happened at around 11:40 p.m. in the 9000 block of Compton Avenue.
