(L.A.) Carlos Rivera, 53, Died in a Storm Drain

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Latino male.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Carlos Rivera of Pomona.

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP CARLOS RIVERA (November 15, 1971 – March 3, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday morning.

The decedent was found lifeless inside a storm drain.

Pomona PD responded at around 9:30 a.m. to the area of East End Avenue and East Third Street.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 23, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
