(L.A.) Gary Nelson, 84, Died in Hancock Park

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 84-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Gary Nelson.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Sharp Injuries to the Neck

RIP GARY NELSON (1940/1941 – June 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

LAPD responded to the 100 block of Rossmore Avenue, near Wilshire Country Club, at around 4:00 p.m. for a possible stabbing victim.

Two suspects were later arrested in Palmdale. Their motive appears to have been burglary.

The suspects, 41-year-old Rolando Guardado and 45-year-old Madeline Fresia Rivas, both of Palmdale, were arrested on suspicion of murder and are being held without bail.
