(L.A.) Sofiya Baskin, 32, Died at a Sober Living Home

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at a sober living home.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Sofiya Baskin.

Cause of Death: Acute Combined Effects of Benzodiazepines (Diazepam, Alprazolam, Nordiazepam) and Hydroxyzine

Other Significant Conditions: History of Ethanol Abuse; Mental Health Diagnoses Including Bipolar Disorder, Depression, and Anxiety

RIP SOFIYA BASKIN (January 19, 1993 – June 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polydrug overdose.
