(L.A.) Phillip Castillo Jr., 49, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Phillip Castillo Jr.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Hydrocodone and Quetiapine Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Cardiomegaly

RIP PHILLIP RAYMOND CASTILLO JR. (January 26, 1976 – June 3, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 1, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
