Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Eric Carrero.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Anoxic Encephalopathy

Cause of Death B: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Effects

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
