Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Matthew Nauts.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Chronic Alcohol Use; Chronic Tobacco Use

RIP MATTHEW MERRITT NAUTS (March 20, 1960 – January 25, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in late May.
