(L.A.) Johnny Marroquin, 19, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 19-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Johnny Marroquin.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Graft Failure

Cause of Death B: Chronic Myocardial Fibrosis and Transplant Rejection

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Asthma and Loeys-Dietz Syndrome (LDS)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

The decedent had a heart transplant in 2020.
