(L.A.) Mauricio Torres, 27, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 27-year-old Latin American male that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Mauricio Torres.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:32 p.m.
The decedent was hit by a vehicle in the city of Maywood in what appears to have been an incident of road rage.
LASD deputies responded to the intersection of E. 58th Street and Atlantic Boulevard at around 8:18 p.m. for a traffic collision involving a pedestrian.
Note that there are at least two decedents named “Mauricio Torres” in the medical examiner’s public database. They died within a month of each other in late 2022. Both are cases of homicide. They were both transported to a hospital where they later died.
