Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Gerardo Saavedra.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Chronic Ethanol Use

Other Significant Condition: Diabetes Mellitus Type 2

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 3:35 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in mid-July.
