(L.A.) Christian Whitfield, 34, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Christian Whitfield.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Respiratory Depression

Cause of Death B: Acute Combined Methamphetamine and Fentanyl Intoxication

RIP CHRISTIAN WHITFIELD (April 16, 1991 – May 3, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 6:26 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
