(L.A.) Mario Davila, 60, Killed by Drunk LAPD Pig

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old Hispanic male that occurred on a freeway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mario Davila.

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:33 p.m.

The decedent, his wife, and their son were killed by an off-duty LAPD officer who was driving under the influence at a speed of 150 miles per hour on the freeway.

In April 2025, the pig Edgar Verduzco pleaded guilty to three counts of murder, one count of driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, and one count of driving with a 0.08% blood alcohol content causing injury. He faces three concurrent terms of 15 years to life in state prison for the murder charges and a concurrent three-year term for the DUI-related offenses. His sentencing is scheduled for July 11.
