(L.A.) Roger Scott, 22, Died in Northridge

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 22-year-old Black male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Roger Scott.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 6:47 p.m.

Paramedics arrived to the 9900 block of Tampa Avenue, near Lassen Street, at around 6:30 p.m in response to a severe collision involving a motorcycle.

Multiple vehicles collided in a Northridge intersection, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist and leaving at least three others injured.

LAPD and LAFD personnel responded to a reported traffic collision in the 9900 block of Tampa Avenue at Lassen, shortly before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A motorcyclist was killed in the crash, and three other people were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

A sedan and an SUV appeared to have collided head-on, and a wrecked motorcycle was observed down in the roadway near the damaged vehicles.

The conditions of the transported patients and the cause of the collision are unknown at this time.

Officers had assembled a privacy tent for the deceased motorcyclist until Los Angeles County Medical Examiner personnel were able to respond to the scene.
