Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Amara Traore.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Metamphetamine Effects

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 10:02 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-May, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
