(L.A.) Michael Wilson, 68, Died From an Accident

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 68-year-old Black male that occurred at a hospital/polyclinic.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Wilson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

RIP MICHAEL WILSON (April 15, 1956 – February 24, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 7:13 p.m.

The decedent was a homeless individual who was injured in a hit-and-run collision in the Vermont-Vista area.

LAPD said the collision happened at around 7 p.m. when the driver of a white compact sedan made a northbound turn onto Figueroa Street from 104th Place and hit the pedestrian outside of a crosswalk.

The driver of the sedan continued traveling northbound on Figueroa Street without stopping to render aid to the victim, making it a hit-and-run incident.
