(L.A.) William Maige, 24, Died at a Hostel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a hostel.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as William Maige.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Bromazolam, Carisoprodol, Mirtazapine, and Quetiapine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:05 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 2, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Carisoprodol, sold under the brand name Soma among others, is an oral medication used for musculoskeletal pain.
