RIP JASON MATTHEW KNITTEL (July 12, 1983 – February 22, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 4:25 p.m.
The decedent had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s follicular lymphoma in 2018.
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is a type of cancer that originates in the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system, and involves white blood cells called lymphocytes. These cells play a crucial role in fighting infections, but in NHL, they grow abnormally and can form tumors in various parts of the body, such as lymph nodes, the spleen, and bone marrow.
The government’s medicolegal investigator classified this death as an accident because the blunt-force head trauma from falling multiple times on the back of his head while undergoing chemotherapy earlier this year precipitated the abrupt worsening of his medical condition.
