RIP BEATRICE CASTELLANO (August 6, 1934 – February 13, 2024)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 2:08 p.m.
This is possibly iatrogenic, which is why the medical examiner classified it as an accident.
Middle Meningeal Artery Embolization is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat chronic subdural hematoma. It is an endovascular technique that involves blocking the middle meningeal artery, which supplies blood to the dura mater and the neovascular membranes surrounding the hematoma. This procedure aims to reduce or eliminate the blood supply to these membranes, thereby preventing further leakage and promoting the reabsorption of the hematoma.
