(L.A.) Jose Caravantes Castorena, 42, Died in a Storage Unit

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Latino male that occurred at a storage unit.

The coroner’s office hasidentified the man as Jose Caravantes Castorena.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 1:39 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-May, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
