(L.A.) Betty O’Meara, 94, Died in the Palisades Fire

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 94-year-old Asian female that occurred at her residence in Malibu.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Betty O’Meara.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Inhalation of Products of Combustion and Thermal Injuries

RIP BETTY O’MEARA (October 5, 1930 – January 9, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 1:57 a.m.

The decedent perished in the Palisades Fire. Her remains were found in the 20400 block of Roca Chica Drive.
