(L.A.) Farahd Mitchell, 36, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Farahd Mitchell.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Decompensated Diabetes Mellitus

RIP FARAHD MITCHELL (May 25, 1988 – January 16, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 6:54 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 27, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.

Decompensated here means not well-controlled. Normally, the body uses insulin to keep blood sugar levels stable, but in decompensated diabetes, this process is not working properly.
