(L.A.) Shenique Thompson, 50, Died in a Tent

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old Black female that occurred in a tent.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Shenique Thompson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Cocaine and Phencyclidine

RIP SHENIQUE THOMPSON (April 23, 1974 – January 10, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 12:11 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on March 14, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
