(L.A.) Homar Rivera, 42, Died From Overdosing on Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Latino male that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Homar Rivera.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP HOMAR RIVERA (December 18, 1981 – December 3, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:28 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
