Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Essie Elliston.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Blunt-Force Trauma

RIP ESSIE ELLISTON (May 15, 1981 – November 20, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 11:54 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 31.
