(L.A.) Emilio Perez-Bernal, 20, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Latino male that occurred on railroad tracks.

The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Emilio Perez-Bernal.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 6:51 p.m.

The decedent was hit by Metrolink Train No. 1282, which was on its way to downtown Los Angeles from Lancaster.

Palmdale Sheriff station had received a call at around 6:22 pm about a pedestrian being hit by a train on the railroad tracks along Sierra Highway just north of Avenue O, in Palmdale.

This was supposedly Antelope Valley’s fifth suicide by train in October alone.
