Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Hispanic female that occurred on a walkway.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Maria Sanchez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Sharp-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:17 p.m.

LAPD was investigating a homicide at 7158 Hawthorn Avenue in Hollywood at around this time. The victim in that case was reportedly stabbed to death with a kitchen knife after a loud verbal altercation with a man.
