(L.A.) Carmel Emata, 41, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Carmel Emata.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Coronary Artery Atherosclerosis

RIP CARMEL EMATA (September 26, 1983 – October 27, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:47 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 20, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
