(L.A.) Robert Martin, 21, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 21-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Robert Martin.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Ethanol and Diphenhydramine Intoxication

RIP ROBERT MARTIN (February 5, 2003 – October 24, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 5:42 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in March the following year, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
