Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 93-year-old Asian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Elaine Koshiro.

Manner of Death : Natural

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Myocardial Ischemia

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Cerebrovascular Accident, Congestive Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Hypothyroidism, Diabetes Mellitus

RIP ELAINE KOSHIRO (January 8, 1931 – September 14, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 3:20 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner had initially declared this a natural death on October 7. Two days later, the manner of death was changed to Accident and the bone fracture was added to the list of conditions.
