(L.A.) John Egan, 36, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as John Egan.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Opiates and Recent Cocaine Use

RIP JOHN EGAN (April 27, 1988 – September 18, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 2:06 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 12, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
