Also commonly known as a stroke, a hemorrhagic cerebrovascular accident occurs when a blood vessel in the brain ruptures, leading to bleeding in or around the brain. This bleeding can cause severe damage to brain tissue and disrupt normal brain function. When such an event is induced by methamphetamine use, the risk is heightened due to the drug’s impact on blood pressure and vascular health.

Methamphetamine can lead to sudden, intense increases in blood pressure, increasing the likelihood of a vessel bursting. The resulting hemorrhage can rapidly lead to stroke, brain damage, and death.
