Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old White/Caucasian male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Metzler.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP MICHAEL METZLER (January 26, 1960 – August 10, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 3:01 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 11.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
