(L.A.) Roy Balentine, 73, Died From Cocaine Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 73-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Roy Balentine.

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine

RIP ROY BALENTINE (July 15, 1951 – September 9, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 9:23 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
