(L.A.) Samuel Esguerra, 64, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old Asian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Samuel Esguerra.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Hypertension

RIP SAMUEL ESGUERRA (February 12, 1960 – August 29, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 2:45 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
