(L.A.) Marcus Crenshaw, 48, Died From Gunshots

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old male that occurred at a shopping plaza.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Marcus Crenshaw.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 9:42 p.m.

The decedent was shot to death in Hawthorne.

Hawthorne PD had been called at around 9:30 p.m. to the parking lot of of a liquor store near the corner of Crenshaw and El Segundo Boulevards.

Hawthorne is a city located in southwestern Los Angeles County. It is part of the South Bay region and has a population of approximately 88,000 as of the 2020 census.
